The alternate universian flag was designed on August 13, 2022 in a Discord server, by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. It was designed to match the pattern of the other galactian alignment system flags. It has five horizontal stripes which from top to bottom are light peachy pink, dark peachy pink, light yellow, black and grey. The peach colors are inspired by the pangender flag, and represent universians essentially being a combination of many/all galactian alignments. The other colors are inspired by other galactian alignment flags. They also designed an alternate universian symbol, featured in the center of the flag. It is comprised of many different symbols: the the moon symbol represents being lunarian, the sol symbol represents being solarian, the dot in the center of the sol symbol represents being singularian, the ring represents being spacialian and/or voidrian, the stars represent being stellarian, and the circle which contains the moon and sol symbols can represent being calypsian.<ref name=":1">[[:File:Universian flag creation.jpg|Alternate universian flag creation (screenshot)]]</ref>

An alternate universian flag by an anonymous Discord user

Universian is a non-binary gender alignment from the galactian alignment system. It encompasses the solarian, lunarian, stellarian, spacialian, and singularian alignments, and potentially gender nonconformity and the individualized rejection of gender as well.[1] Some definitions also include other potential alignments, such as voidrian and calypsian.[2] This term may be used as a gender alignment or a gender itself. A universian individual may experience all of these alignments at once, or may be fluid among them.[1]

    Flag

The original universian flag was designed by Tumblr user celestial-worm, previously known as emelio-still-exists, on October 5, 2020. It has five horizontal stripes, which from top to bottom are purple, lime green, black, white, and pink. Purple represents the fluidity or complexity of experiencing gender in multiple or varying forms. Green represents ties to non-binary and xenogenders and alignments. Black represents the vastness of gender possibility as well as a potential lack or void of gender. White was added for aesthetic appeal and its meaning is open to personal interpretation. Pink represents potential ties to masculinity and femininity. There is a white spiral symbol in the center of the black stripe that looks like a galaxy or a theoretical universal shape.[1]

A revised version of celestial-worm's flag was created by an anonymous wiki user on August 1, 2022.

    An alternate universian symbol

The alternate universian flag was designed on August 13, 2022 in a Discord server, by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. It was designed to match the pattern of the other galactian alignment system flags. It has five horizontal stripes which from top to bottom are light peachy pink, dark peachy pink, light yellow, black and grey. The peach colors are inspired by the pangender flag, and represent universians essentially being a combination of many/all galactian alignments. The other colors are inspired by other galactian alignment flags. They also designed an alternate universian symbol, featured in the center of the flag. It is comprised of many different symbols: the moon symbol represents being lunarian, the sol symbol represents being solarian, the dot in the center of the sol symbol represents being singularian, the ring represents being spacialian and/or voidrian, the stars represent being stellarian, and the circle which contains the moon and sol symbols can represent being calypsian.[2]

    History

The term was coined on October 5, 2020, by Tumblr user celestial-worm, previously known as emelio-still-exists.[1] The blog was deleted before it could be archived.
