Touch-repulsed (aka touch-negative or touch-averse) is a term that is often used by asensual and other asen-spec individuals to indicate that they find touch or sensual acts to be disgusting, revolting, or otherwise uncomfortable. Touch-repulsed people are most often repulsed when engaging in sensual acts, or sometimes by the idea of it, but some may also be repulsed by the idea of sensuality that does not involve them. What qualifies as a sensual act can vary from person to person. For example, a touch-repulsed person might see making out as a sexual act, but might view cuddling as a purely sensual act that triggers repulsion. Some people may experience varying amounts of touch-repulsion. Touch-repulsion is seen to overlap with the neurodivergent and disabled communities.

Someone who is touch-repulsed may identity as apothisensual.

Not all asensuals are touch-repulsed; they can be indifferent, ambivalent, or favorable. Touch-repulsed people can also be allosensual. These people may identify as acosensual.
