Marsic (also called Marsian) is a diamoric orientation for non-binary people who are exclusively attracted to men, men-aligned people, Man-related and solarians. The terms was created as a non-problematic alternative to androsexual, and is meant to be used along side the galactian alignment system, though it can be used by any non-binary person.
The term can be altered to indicate sexual or romantic attraction with marssexual and marsromantic. Similar terms include viramoric, toric, and solaric.
The feminine equivalent to marsic is venusic. The non-binary equivalent is terraric.
History
The term was first thought of from a reply to an anonymous submission to the Tumblr blog, temp-nb-blog on December 30, 2016[1].
Flag
The marsic flag was designed by temp-nb-blog on February 21, 2017[2]. The color scheme was chosen to resemble the surface of Mars.
The simplified version of the marsic flag, which has four stripes, was made by twitter user @strwbryfemme and posted on June 17, 2021.[3]
Another simplified marsic flag was made by FANDOM user ElderflowerJuice on July 27, 2021.[4]
Etymology
Mars was chosen as the root of Marsic because Mars was historically associated with men and masculine energy.
