    The alternate Ultersex flag

Ultersex is a sex label for "trans intersex" individuals. It refers to Intersex individuals who do not identify with the sex assigned to them at birth, but don't feel like they fit under "transsex".

They may want to acknowledge that they have different experiences from dyadic transsex individuals, such as being transmascfem or being assigned Intersex at birth (AIAB).

They could also have an Intersex variant (like hypergonadism) which effects their transition in ways that are distinct from dyadic transsex experiences, have undergone non-consensual surgeries, taken HRT previously, or any number of individual experiences that could make them consider themselves non-transsex.

The coiner of the term stated that ultersex could be considered or used as an altersex term for Intersex individuals who wish to use it as one, but it is not inherently an altersex label.

For the gender modality, see ultergender. For the complementary term, see ipsosex.
