Using the element system, elements can be combined, making three element combinations, or trielemental combinations. The elements being combined are eluvian (feminine/water), fervian (masculine/fire), tellusian (neutral/earth), ventulian (undefined/air), alterian (xenine/spirit).

A person with three gender elements may be fluid between them, or the elements may be static. Their elements may be split evenly between the three of them, or it may be unequal.

    History

Most of the trielemental combinations were coined on a Google spreadsheet, likely sometime between December 30th, 2017 and February 3rd, 2018[1].

Two of the elements were unnamed at the time. They did exist, and the element they are represented by was chosen, although they were not given a name. The names busarean and omoyan were chosen by an anonymous user of LGBTA+ wiki on February 24th, 2020‎.
