Romance Positive, similarly to Sex-Positive, is a political position that embraces romantic relationships and presents a positive attitude towards romance.
It advocates for learning healthy romantic relationship boundaries and how to communicate them so that everyone can engage in safe and healthy relationships, whatever form those relationships might take.
This includes a support for individuals in the aromantic spectrum, polyamory, and in general people who want to have a romantic relationship that doesn't fit the typical mould accepted by society.
It is often confused with "romance favorable" a term which describes a person who enjoys romance-related activities. A romance positive person can be romance favorable, romance indifferent or romance repulsed.
Both terms are most common in aromantic spectrum communities but are not limited as descriptors for members of that community.
