The reclaimation of Battleaxe Bi refers to the ongoing effort by inclusionist bisexuals and biromantics to reclaim the term "Battleaxe Bi", citing the fact that the original coiner was an inclusionist. Battleaxe Bi inclusionists believe that no one should be discriminated against based on their gender, pronouns, or orientation, and they support all m-spec identities.
History
On June 7th, 2018, the term "Battleaxe Bi" was coined by Instagram user foxflightstudios.[1] Despite foxflightstudios being pro-pansexual, the term was quickly adopted by m-spec exclusionists. Since then, inclusive bi individuals have been taking back the term in an effort to reclaim it.
A flag for the reclaimed Battleaxe Bi was posted by Tumblr user satyrradio on June 6th, 2024.[2]
