Preaplatonic is an identity on the apl-spec. It refers to somone who might feel a platonic attraction to someone, but when they:
- Don't see them after, they do not feel it (they may feel it only when they physically meet them).
- For a really short amount of time (for example it can be just for some minutes or hours).
- It was just a quick thought that vanished afterwards.
- They were attracted to them before but they aren't anymore (it can be due to the personality of the person, their way of speaking, or more)
This may overlap with Gray-platonic and other platonic identities, but this microlabel is specific for people who feel platonic attraction but for a really short time or they may identify with the other definitions of this term. It can also overlap with "jump" and "spike", but the thought can remain for a couple hours or more.
Preaplatonic can be an orientation on its own or it can be combined with other platonic orientations, such as: panplatonic (prea-panplatonic), meaning that one may experience platonic attraction for a really short amount of time or their platonic attraction will fade after they do not see them, but when they do it's regardless of gender, and all genders.
