    Patergender is a type of masculine-aligned aesthetigender characterized by feelings of parental love, affection and protection. Someone who identifies as Patergender doesn't need to have children of their own or identify as 100% male, and may feel that their desire to comfort and protect is inextricably connected to their gender, gender identity and gender expression.

    Patergender can be fluid/flux, be used as a gender all it's own, or in conjunction with other genders.

    Matergender is the feminine equivalent; with Parensgender being the neutral or non-binary equivalent.

    A white shield with a red heart signifies the parental feelings of love and the urge to protect and comfort. The descending order of red stripes signifies masculinity and it's potential to be gentle, soft, and warm.
