Obscurique is a KEIN gender that may feel strong, stable, and prominent when left unlabeled, but becomes distorted, unstable, non-existent, and/or changing when attempting to label or define it. It is a partially or fully obscurian gender and is under the kenochoric umbrella. When left alone, the gender may still be obscurian in some ways, but it doesn’t have to be.
History
Obscurique was coined by Tumblr user kenochoric on February 25, 2021.[1] The stripes have no known meanings. The symbol provided on the flag is meant to resemble the obscurian symbol,[2] but has a prominent second ring around the center.
