Lovesickgender, formerly Yanderegender is a term that is used for when one's gender is highly connected to ones attraction. This can be romantic attraction, sexual attraction, platonic attraction, etc. One can feel as though their gender is an obsessive part of their love, and the more they are attracted, the more bold, loud, and extravagant their gender becomes. It could be used as a gender on its own, or a co-term. This is usually highly tied to Obsesscoric individuals.
History
The term yanderegender used to have no meaning beyond a flag. On October 22nd, 2020, a user going by Angel formed a definition to fit the flag and term. The term was first coined on June 19, 2018 by All-Prides-Matter.
The name was changed by user Keterodyne on February 9th, 2021, due to concerns about ableist implications of using the term "Yandere".
