Homoqueer describes someone who identifies as both queer and homosexual. This term may include, but is not limited to:
- Homosexual transgender people
- Homosexual non-binary people, including gai and symmaic individuals
- Homosexual and/or homoromantic individuals who are also ace-spec and/or aro-spec
- Varioriented individuals with at least one identity being homo-, such as bisexual homoromantic individuals
- Individuals with a fluid attraction who sometimes are homosexual
- Homoflexible individuals
- Individuals who are "homosexual but not forever" or "homosexual but with exceptions"
- Homosexual polyamorous individuals
- Homosexual individuals in a queer relationship
- Pluralians reclaiming the label homosexual due to not being attracted to the opposite gender (for example: Similosexual or Pencontrasexual)
- Pluralians who have a preference for the same gender and express this by identifying as a homosexual in addition to other labels
- Homosexual cisn't individuals, such as homo isogender, ipsogender, and ultergender people
