Hatgender is a xenogender where someone may feel connected to the game, A Hat In Time, or its characters, aesthetics, etc. There are many subsets to the gender, including, but not limited to:
- Mafiagender
- Nyakuzametric
- Bowkidgender
- Snatchgender
- Dwellgender

The term was coined by Fandom user Testaccountaaaaaa on July 30, 2021. It had been discussed since July 26, 2021.[1]
