Fidemgendre is a third gender label specifically for non-binary Christians. Some of these categories include androgyny, neutrality, multigenders, genderfluidity, and genderlessness. Some subsets include:
- Multagenus - genderfluid/multigender Christians.
- Reverentiagenus- non-binary Christians with a connection to femininity, masculinity, and/or androgyny/neutrality.
- Sinegenus- agender/genderless Christians.
- Forasgenus - anonbinary/xenic/outherine Christians.
History
The term fidemgendre was created because of all the backlash non-binary Christians face. Lots of non-binary Christians are told they can't be both and that they have to choose either being Christian or being non-binary. However, this is untrue. The term was coined by LGBTA Wikia users DeathByGlamourrrr and RoseWatera on January 1st, 2021.
Flag
The first flag was coined by Lovenderr on January 1st, 2021 at the same time the term was coined. Yellow represents Christianity, green represents neutrality and genderlessness, white represents how being non-binary is pure and not sinful, and purple represents androgyny.
Etymology
Fidem comes from the Latin word for faith and gendre comes from the Old English word for gender.
