Ferrogender is a xenogender with two possible definitions.

The first definition is a gender that relates to the properties of iron. It is usually a ‘solid’ (non-fluid) gender that can “oxidise” (fluctuate) when one comes into contact with water or very hot weather. Ferrogender can also but used as a prefix, for example: ferroboy, ferrogirl, ferrononbinary, etc...

The second definition is a xenogender that is highly related to or influenced by magnetic energy or magnets, either aesthetically or metaphorically. This gender may be magnetic to other genders, but this is not required.

    History

The first definition of ferrogender was coined on June 20, 2016 by Tumblr user nonbinary-paradise[1]. The second definition was coined on February 14, 2018 by lovely-xeno-flower[2].

    Flag

The flag was pawned by a user going by Alex on October 19, 2020. The orange, red, and yellow represents heat, the shades of blue represent water, and the white, greys, and black represent magnetism.
