    The femproche flag.

Femproche refers to a gender expression that is feminine, despite having a gender that is not. A femproche can have any alignment, they are not necessarily female-aligned/lunarian. For example a feminine man may identify as femproche. A neutral aligned non-binary person who presents femininely may also identify as femproche. It is an identity where one's gender non-conformity is an integral part of one's queer experience.

Femproche is also occasionally used as a synonym for juxera- a gender that is close to female but is separate from it.

The masculine equivalent is homproche, the androgynous equivalent linproche, and neutral equivalent neuproche.

    Flag

The term and the flag were created by Tumblr user shadowofthedude on or before May 31, 2017. Violet represents gender neutrality. Pink represents femininity. White represents all possible genders.[1]

    Etymology

Femproche comes from French femme meaning 'woman' and proche meaning 'near' to mean "near or approaching female".
