Apothisexual is a micro-label on the asexual spectrum. It is another word for sex repulsed. For some apothisexuals, they are repulsed at the idea of engaging in sex themselves, but are fine with sexual activity that does not involve them. Others may be repulsed by the idea of sex in general. Those who are apothisexual typically do not seek out sexual relationships.
The romantic counterpart to apothisexual is apothiromantic.
Etymology
The prefix apothi- comes from the Greek word apothisan, meaning repulsed.
