A-gender is an umbrella term for a-prefixed genders and adjacents. It can be used as a gender identity that uses the letter A in place of F, of female or feminine, and M, of male or masculine, just as X-gender.
It includes terms like abinary and atrinary with agender and anonbinary, as they use the prefix a-. However, it also encompasses those who feel they are included in the A of LGBTQIA+, for example, or the A initial, such as androgyne and abrogender.
History
The term was coined by Tumblr user imoga-pride on July, 2020. The flag was designed by whimsy-flags.[1]
