Usage

This is a template to set the current preferred archive domain. We currently use archive.today and web.archive.org. Both use the same URL formatting. By default this links to archive.today, but archive.today has a redirect to web.archive.org as per attached image.

How To:

Archive the resource using https://archive.ph/ or http://web.archive.org/ (preferably the former).
Once archived, get the long share link.
Copy the text after the domain (everything after http://archive.today/ or http://web.archive.org/web/)
Add the template and paste the text into the URL parameter.

To use a template, type {{ to bring up the Wikimedia UI, of which will request which template you would like to use. Ensure you fill in any optional arguments for the template creation.

These templates/categories are similar but have these distinct differences:

Category:Needs_Resource_Verification - The resources have yet to be verified.
Category:Pages_Without_Resources - There are no resources provided. Only legacy pages will be added to this category, and may be candidates for deletion.
Category:Pages_With_No_External_Sources - Was coined on an LGBTQIA+ wiki.
Category:Pages_With_No_History_Section - Lacks a history section.
