Zoomiegender is a xenogender for catgender individuals who are more active at night and/or have bursts of energy at night. They usually sleep more during the day and get upset if woken up. This gender can also be used by catgender individuals who have a connection with night-related gender(s).
The burst of energy and activity at night for this gender is known as "zoomies," which is a term for when cats and dogs are active at night and seem to have a random burst of energy.[1]
History
The term was coined by Tumblr user GalacticFestival on June 13, 2021.[2] It was also posted about on Twitter.[3] The flags were created by the same user on the same day.
Flag
The zoomiegender flag has five stripes. The first stripe represents being more active at night, the second stripe represents getting angry when waking up, the third stripe represents sleeping more during the day, the fourth stripe represents zoomies, and the last stripe represents a connection to felines.[4]
