    The wergender flag.
    Alternate flag

Wergender is another word for binary men, male, boy, or guy. It is a simpler way to refer to all people who are binary male, or very close to binary male. Some people are pleonotic, meaning they may identify as a "boy" or "guy" but not as a "man" or "male", or vice verse. Wergender gives the language to easily talk about all these people at once.

    The female counterpart is wifgender.

    History

Wergender was coined on August 21, 2018 by Arco-pluris on Tumblr.[1] The word comes from the Middle English word werman meaning "man".[2]

    Flag

The Wergender flag was coined by a user going by Weniviere on November 14th, 2020. The blue represents manhood. The black represents being close to manhood but not entirely. The purple represents man-aligned people who aren't stereotypically masculine (rosboy, crosspronominal, etc).
