- Transgenders requiring gender dysphoria, which they do not. There are plenty of resources I could provide but it's easier to have Google tell you. In short, the requirement for gender dysphoria was part of the DSM disorder entry, that is no longer in the DSM and the meaning of transgender has changed since then.
