It was created as a broad umbrella term to include any change to one's sexual orientation that was caused by trauma. As such, this label is to be used only by individuals with trauma and/or PTSD.

    Traumasexuals can be of any sexual orientation, romantic orientation, or gender identity. They can be allosexual or anywhere on the asexual spectrum.
