The significance of the original flag's colors is unknown. The Blu and Red tf2gender flags were created on November 2, 2021. The meanings of the colors are as follow.
[Blu flag's top line] (#5d818d) - the blue color of the background in the Blu team's logo.
[Blu flag's second line] (#e5e7d2) - the off-white color used to make the picture of the wrench in the Blu team's logo.
[Blu flag's third line] (#3a3f46) - the grey-blue color of the Blu scout's pants.
[Red flag's top line] (#c94543) - the red color of the backround in the Red team's logo.
[Red flag's second line] (#eee9bc) - the off-white color used to make the picture of the cartoon-ish bomb in the Red team's logo.
