    Talk:He/Him Lesbian/@comment-37062295-20200520220539

For everyone saying pronouns aren't gendered, why aren't they? Trans people get dysphoric when called the wrong pronouns. That wouldn't happen if pronouns weren't gendered. By saying someone is a he/him lesbian, it's usually assumed from an outsider's perspective (unintentional or not) that the one using he/him is a male, or masc aligned. If you feel more comfortable identifying with masculine aligned things, then you probably are gnc or trans, but there is no reason to call yourself a he/him lesbian. It not only lessens society's respect for trans people and lesbians, but it also just causes more confusion. I just don't understand the need for a new label rather than using what's already known, like butch lesbian, gnc who likes women, or even just a queer relationship. Like, if youre gender non-conforming but masc aligned, how can you also be a woman, but use he/him (typically masc) but not be masc aligned? It personally seems like a lot of work for people to understand, and I kind of find it unnecessary to create more labels than we can count

I'm not trying to be rude or offensive in any way, I'm just trying to show why some lgbt people don't agree or are confused by he/him lesbians. (I'm nblw so pls don't come for me-)
