Strawberrydressgender is a xenogender which is associated with Lirika Matoshi’s viral strawberry dress. It may also be considered a memegender or a subcategory of dressgender.
The Strawberry Dress, as it has come to be referred to, is a dress by fashion designer Lirika Matoshi that went viral in 2020. It garnered a particularly favourable response in the LGBTQIA community, most notably amongst lesbians, sapphics, and fingender non-binary people, although this gender has no specific alignment and may be used by anybody.
The dress is a pastel pink tulle v-neck dress with metallic strawberry embellishments and a ruffled hem. It has since become a staple of the cottagecore aesthetic, and as such, people who identify with this gender may also identify with cottagecoric.
Many who enjoy wearing dresses, or simply appreciate the aesthetic, have expressed a connection to this dress or reported experiencing feelings of gender euphoria linked to it.
History
