It's a gender that could also be theoretically described as fluid, constantly sinking and disappearing before reappearing and repeating the same process, like a real sink.

The white wave background reminds the shape of a sink. White is the color sinks usually have. Blue symbolizes water, while the white spine with a circle in the middle in the centre represents the devices you can turn to make water flow. On each side, the stylized symbol of a sun and a snowflake that embodies hot and cold water being able to flow down the sink.
