    Secondary Sex Agenesis is an umbrella term for traits that are related to ones secondary sex traits not growing or forming as expected, due to being intersex. This term is not an official medical term, however it was coined to fill in a linguistic gap to describe information on intersex individuals.

    It is important to note that these traits alone are not what makes someone intersex; however, when they are partnered with hormonal, chromosomal, or genital abnormalities, they do become intersex in nature.

    Some intersex variations these may be partnered with include agenital, gonadal agenesis, and gonadal dysgenesis, however it can partner other intersex variations as well.

    Pediatric Breast Hypoplasia

    Pediatric Breast Hypoplasia, Tuberous Breasts, or Tubular Breasts is a condition in which when one does not develop one or both breasts, or develop breasts that are smaller than usual. This can effect both CTM and CTF individuals alike, however it is more common amongst CTF individuals, especially when it comes to intersex variations. One with this trait may or may not have underdeveloped or absent ribs as well.[1][2]

    Amastia is the term used for when one is born entirely without breasts and nipples.[3][4]

    Athelia

    Athelia is a condition in which one does not develop one or both nipples/areola. They may also have one missing breast, however this is not always the case. This trait can effect both CTM and CTF individuals, and effects about 1 in every 20,000 newborns. It has been observed that this trait is more common in AMAB individuals than AFAB individuals.[5]

    Hypotonia

    Hypotonia is a state when one does not develop much muscle tone. This may not be very obvious when one is first born, and may only be noticed in a child's youth or when ones muscles do not develop strongly during puberty.
