Puerigender is a xenogender centered around a sad and melancholic, yet nostalgic connection to childhood. It may feel connected to old cartoons, wooden toys, old teddy bears.
History and Flags
Puerigender was coined by Tumblr user mothi333 on June 5th, 2021. The puerigender flag was created by the same user on the same date.[1]
An alternate puerigender flag was created by FANDOM user Dolphinleo7, 15th June 2021. Green represents youth and the outdoors (which is where a lot of some childhoods took place), beige represents the simplicity of childhood and calmness, pink represents caring and love and is a lighter form of red which is associated with children, blue represents the sadder part of nostalgia - the longing for something one can never go back to, and white represents youth and innocence. The flag is faded to show how most individuals' memory of their early life fades as they get older.
Etymology
The name was inspired by the word "pueritia" meaning childhood.
