Paranonbinary, also known as Para-Nb, is the nonbinary subset of paragender. Paragender individuals identify mostly with a nonbinary gender, but not entirely. The nonbinary part makes up 51-99% of their gender. The other 1-49% can be any other gender or combination of genders. Paranonbinary is similar to deminonbinary, but it is more specific because with paranonbinary, the nonbinary part outweighs any other gender(s).
The male equivalent of paranonbinary is paraboy and the female equivalent is paragirl.

The terms paragender was coined by Tumblr user queerspike some time around July 10, 2014, but presumably before. The paranonbinary flag was created by the user Idrisney29 on August 28, 2021. Grey represents partial gender. White represents a lack of gender. Yellow represents neutrality. Light yellow represents the “near-ness” of paranonbinary.
