Noviluset (or Newmoonset) is a neutral gender identity with slight feminine influences. One may use feminine gender labels, but still feel that their gender is not entirely or very feminine at all.
It is based on lunarset, but with slight influences rather than strong ones. The masculine equivalent is dawnset.
History
The term was coined by FANDOM user Hiddn.haydn on August 30, 2021, along with dawnset.[1] The flag was created by the same user on the same day.
Etymology
The word came from the Spanish term novilunio, a synonym for new moon.[2] The prefix '-set' was coined by Tumblr user gendersimulator. It describes genders that can be altered or shifted, or feel different sometimes, but the base of it is the same. The base of noviluset is neutral but slightly feminine.
