Novigender (also known as Novogender) is a gender in which one's gender expereince (or lack thereof) is complicated in such a way that it is difficult or impossible to fit into one term. Novigender falls under the umbrella of pomogender, which is defined as a gender in where one denies or does not fit any labels for any particular gender. A pomogender person may know they are not cisgender, but cannot, or is not interested in specifying their gender.

History
Novigender was coined by Tumblr user creativeflipflop in August of 2014. They have since moved accounts.

The flag color meanings are as follows: Grey represents neutrality and confusion of gender; Blues represent the varying stages of clarity people may feel; Orange represents individuality and embracing the lack of clarity involved in novigender.
