A Non-SAM Aro is an aromantic person who does not use the split attraction model (SAM). A non-SAM aro is only aromantic and isn't asexual or any allosexual identity. There are many reasons why one might identify not use the SAM, some include not being able to differentiate between sexual attraction and other types of attraction, feeling as though ones aromantic identity is ones most important identity, or choosing to disregard sexuality labels for oneself because one don’t find them useful, relevant, or worth the effort. Non-SAM aro falls under the umbrella of unit aros and neu aros.
