Neuroromantic is a romantic orientation on the aromantic spectrum that describes when one's romantic attraction is in some way linked to one's neurodivergence, mental illness, or neurological conditions. It is an umbrella term for any romantic identity related to being neurodivergent, but it can also be used as an identity on its own. Neuroromantic is not neurodivergence as a romantic identity, but rather is a romantic identity or experience of romance that is so heavily influenced by one's neurodivergence that one's romantic attraction and neurodivergence cannot be unlinked. Individuals of any neurological condition or mental illness can identify as neuroromantic.
The sexual counterpart is called neurosexual. The gender counterpart is neurogender.
Not all neurodivergent individuals identify as neuroromantic, only those whose romantic attraction is influenced by them being neurodivergent. Neuroromanticism is exclusive to neurodivergent/neuroatypical individuals.

Neuroromantic was possibly coined by Tumblr user pastelmemer, who designed the flag, and posted by Pride-Color-Schemes on July 4th, 2016.[1] The symbol was posted on the blog's DeviantArt, Pride-Flags, 5 days later.[2]
