Nautilgender is a xenogender in which someone feels an extremely strong connection to nautiluses from the Nautilidae family, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. It was made with neurodivergent people in mind, specifically autistic individuals, as well as people who may experience delusions relating to being a nautilus or other type of nautilidae, and/or people who experience species-regression. However, anyone may identify as nautilgender.
History
Nautilgender was coined by FANDOM user Uncertified Funny on June 3rd of 2021, inspired by FANDOM user Stitchy0's post.
Flags
The nautilgender flag was created by Uncertified Funny on June 3rd of 2021. The blue stripes represent a connection to water, and the orange stripes and off-white stripe represent a connection to nautiluses.
A second nautilgender flag was created by Uncertified Funny on June 3rd of 2021. It is identical to the first flag, except it has a nautilus shell.
