The colors of this flag, although have it's own meaning, are also similar to that of the flower itself. The star-shaped flower symbol is present in the actual flower and can represent a sense of uniqueness/individuality.

The Mussaenda are also called Bangkok Roses. In South East Asian cultures, they fulfill a similar meaning as roses, for love, adoration, and/or encouragement. The most colorful part of the Mussaenda are the pretty bracts which protect the small, star-shaped flower in the center. These leaves also have a soft, fuzzy texture. They were chosen for this identity for their representation of protection and security, as well as the soft leaves and adoration symbolism.
