Melongender is a xenogender connected to melons. It has been used under many different definitions, some of which define it as being a connection towards watermelons, while others define it as being a connection towards melons in general.
History
It is unknown who first coined melongender; however, it has been in use since as early as 2019.[1] It was later coined by Twitter user Projector_Head on August 16, 2020.[2] The flag was created by the same user on the same day. They described it as feeling heavily connected to watermelons.
Flags
The melongender flag has five stripes. The first stripe represents the connection to watermelons, the second stripe represents non-binary identities, the third stripe represents gender non-conformity, the fourth stripe represents a unique grasp of gender, and the last stripe represents neurodivergence.
