The first stripe on the flag comes from the mech element celestial Vhamp, the second stipe comes from pure mech element monster Reebro, the third stripe comes from the mech element icon, and the fourth stripe comes from the accent colors on the mech element icon.

Mechelegender was coined by Tumblr user Lightlozabow on February 13, 2022 along with the other identities in the MSMgender system.
