    This term was coined by FANDOM user 6cringeax6 on January 8th, 2022.[1] It was originally coined under the name "ladgender", but the name was later changed after a discussion with some other users.[2]

    Etymology

    The name derives from the Greek word "μάτια" (or "mátia"), meaning "eyes". It is meant to mean the softness and shininess of eyes that are often associated with feelings of femininity.
