Marinorphic is a naturogender relating to the different ocean zones, the cohesion of oceanic ecosystems, the depths and vastness of the ocean as a metaphor for the depths and vastness of gender. This gender feels like two extremes; There is a warm, calm and rhythmic feeling like waves of sea-foam crashing against you as you stand knee deep on the shoreline… And a deep, pressurised coldness that feels both lonely and spacious, and inescapably crowded and smothering.

The flag's colours represent (going from top to bottom), Sea-foam, reefs and colourful tropical fish, the point where sunlight can no longer penetrate the water, deep ocean life (cold and dark), abyssal zone (the marinas trench) and similar extreme ocean floor environments.
