'''Asterian''' describes a wlnb or a woman who is attracted to [[Non-Binary|non-binary]] people, and/or a woman who prioritizes her attraction to non-binary people over other attractions she may have. This attraction can be exclusive or not. Asterian is an umbrella term like [[sapphic]] and is typically not used as an identity on it's own, however it can be if desired. It was intended for women who are dating non-binary people, but those that attached to non-binary people anyways can also use it.

    The asterian flag.

Asterian also known as Maedic describes a wlnb or a woman who is attracted to non-binary people, and/or a woman who prioritizes her attraction to non-binary people over other attractions she may have. This attraction can be exclusive or not. Asterian is an umbrella term like sapphic and is typically not used as an identity on it's own, however it can be if desired. It was intended for women who are dating non-binary people, but those that attached to non-binary people anyways can also use it.

    History

The term was coined by Tumblr user Orbisian-Prinxess, who is now deactivated. It was likely coined sometime in early 2018, likely around the same time as astroidian. The flag was also designed by Orbisian-Prinxess[1].
