The stripes do not have individual meanings, but the overall color choice and design was based off of levels 0 through 4 of the backrooms, starting with the yellow hues of level 0 and 1 down to the darker levels where lights are often completely shut off. This flag was made with an intent to be for neurodivergent and/or traumatized people only and being for the second definition of the term. |

A second definition of liminalgender is an identity related to of liminal spaces, notably but not exclusively the backrooms. It is often, but not always, said to be a "warm" gender. It is a neurogender that applies exclusively to those with trauma and/or neurodivergence.
