Ithyphalloi (pronounced ith-y-phall-oi) is a third gender for AFAB bigender followers of Dionysus in Hellenic Paganism, inspired by the Dionysian dancers by the same name.
Who is Dionysus?
Dionysus or Dionysos is the God of the grape-harvest, winemaking and wine, of fertility, orchards and fruit, vegetation, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, festivity and theatre in ancient Greek religion and myth.[1]
What is Hellenic Paganism?
Hellenic Paganism comprises various religious movements which revive or reconstruct ancient Greek religious practices, and which have publicly emerged since the 1990s.
The Hellenic religion builds on traditional religion and on a traditional way of life, revolving around the Greek gods, and primarily focused on the Twelve Olympians and embracing ancient Hellenic values and virtues.[2]
