Iocuscollector is a kind of term collecting that describes someone who collects labels or terms more for the fun of it than anything else. These collected labels may be refered to as "iocus labels" or "secondary labels". These labels may not represent the entirety of their identity, or aren't as accurate as other labels they use. however, are still used to self-identify and are validating to the person using them. Iocuscollectors have preferred terms that more accurately describe their experiences: these are sometimes called "primary labels". They may feel a slight disconnect between their collected labels and preferred label(s), though they are still comfortable with these collected terms. They are not collected out of indecision, or in some cases not even to be used: these labels are collected simply because the person likes them and somewhat identifies with them. These terms are often not listed or discussed when questions about identity are asked.
Iocus labels may also be described as redundant: one's primary labels would imply their secondary/collected ones, however, they do not have to.
This term was made with pangender people in mind, however anyone can use this label.
