To be an intergirl, one does ''not'' have to have been [[AFAB|assigned female at birth]] or be [[CTF|close to female]]. Instead, they simply have to identify as a [[girl]] in some shape or form, regardless of whether or not they have biological female characteristics.
If someone identifying as intergirl has biological female traits, they often identify as [[cisgender]] or [[ipsogender]], however they do not have to if they feel cis does not match their experiences.
They may or may not be [[Genderfluid|fluid]] or [[Genderflux|fluctuate]] between female-related identities, or (more specifically) intersex-related female identities.
