Hatchgender (or ducklinggender) is a xenogender used by people who feel like their gender connects to hatching or a hatchling, like an animal hatching out of an egg, or like their gender is not entirely here yet but it is developing/being found or "hatching" as the name implies. Hatchgender can also be used as a subterm of birdgender to make the term more young/babycoric.
If one is hatchgender they may also feel like your gender is like a baby bird, soft, small, cuddly, yellow and cute.
History & Flag
The term was coined by Fandom user Hiyaeliana on March 6 2021. The flag is made to look similar to the birdgender flag, having similar colors but in different tones. The hatchgender flag is made up of softer, more cutesy shades.
