Demipansexual is a sexual orientation on the Asexual Spectrum and is the combination of Pansexual and Demisexual, mainly defined as being sexually attracted to everybody regardless of gender, but needing to feel a deep emotional connection with the person before feeling sexual attraction towards said person. Demipansexual people can also have a separate romantic identity, or identify as demipanromantic.
Flag
The earliest known trace of the demipansexual flag was by DeviantArt user Pride-Flags on May 14th, 2016 and features a combination of the demisexual and pansexual flag. The demipansexual flag consists of three stripes, pink, representing attraction to women, yellow representing attraction to non-binary people, and blue, representing attraction to men along with 3 other colors, in which black represents asexuality, gray represents gray-asexuality and demisexuality, and white represents sexuality.
Etymology
The prefix demi- means half or partial. The prefix is also used in words such as demigod. The prefix pan- comes from the Greek word for 'all' or 'every'.
