    Demetic refers to the attraction to all individuals except those that are both masculine and male-aligned. It can also be described as attraction to feminine female-aligned individuals, feminine nonbinary-aligned individuals, feminine male-aligned individuals, masculine female-aligned individuals, masculine nonbinary-aligned individuals, neutral masculine-aligned individuals, neutral nonbinary-aligned individuals, and neutral female-aligned individuals. Similar terms include uranic, neptunic, trixic, and venusic.

    History and Flag

    The term was coined on August 17th, 2021 by Tumblr user JaidenRose[1] and a flag was designed by faer on the same day.

    A simplified version was made by Tumblr user CringEzra on August 19th, 2021 with only four stripes instead of the original eight, with the same meaning as the original.

    Etymology

    The root of demetic lies in the name of the Greek goddess Demeter.
