Cross-aligned is when one has a gender presentation that does not align with their gender identity. For example: someone who is masculine aligned, but likes to dress femininely. This is often seen across many genders, often causing misunderstanding and misgendering. Cross-aligned people have been around for centuries; one example is traditional Femminiello individuals, who identify as men but present in a feminine mannerism.
Cross-aligned is when one has a gender alignment that does not align with their actual gender identity and/or gender experience. For example, a woman-aligned man is a man who experiences a connection to womanhood, despite not being a woman. They may or may not also be gender non-conforming.
