    Calighn was coined by Tumblr user transgalaxies on January 20, 2018.[1]

    The flag was designed by the coiner on the same day.[2] The flag's colour meanings are currently unknown.

    Etymology

    This term is based off the Latin word caligo[1] which means "darkness, dimness, mist," and "fog."[3]
